Studio Policies
At The Boujee Cheetah, we are committed to providing a safe, professional, luxury tattoo experience. These policies are in place to protect our clients, artists, and studio environment. By booking an appointment, you agree to the following:
1. AGE REQUIREMENTS
We tattoo clients 16 years of age and older.
Clients Ages 16–17 Must Provide:
- Valid government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License, School ID, or Passport)
- Original Birth Certificate
- Parent or Legal Guardian present at the appointment
- Parent/Guardian’s valid government-issued ID
- Parent/Guardian must sign the consent form on behalf of the minor
No exceptions.
Flash Events
All flash events are 18+ only. No minors permitted during flash events.
Failure to provide required documentation will result in cancellation and forfeiture of deposit.
2. NO CHILDREN POLICY
No children are allowed in the studio under any circumstances.
If a person is not old enough to receive a tattoo, they are not permitted inside the shop.
This includes:
- Infants
- Toddlers
- Children waiting during appointments
- Teens without scheduled appointments
Reasoning:
- We work with biohazard materials.
- Tattoo procedures require full focus and precision.
- We operate on strict scheduling.
- We maintain a professional, distraction-free environment.
Clients who arrive with children will be required to reschedule and may forfeit their deposit.
3. DEPOSITS & BOOKING POLICY
- All appointments require a non-refundable deposit.
- Deposits go toward the final cost of your tattoo.
- Deposits secure your appointment time and drawing/design preparation.
- Deposits are non-transferable to another person.
- Rescheduling requires a minimum of 48 hours notice.
- Same-day cancellations or no-shows will result in deposit forfeiture.
If you cancel twice, a new deposit will be required to rebook or we may refuse to schedule you again.
4. LATE POLICY
- Clients more than 15 minutes late may be rescheduled.
- Excessive lateness may result in loss of deposit.
- If you are running late, you must contact the studio immediately.
We respect your time. Please respect ours.
5. NO-SHOW POLICY
Failure to show up without communication will result in:
- Automatic forfeiture of deposit
- Possible refusal of future bookings
6. GUEST POLICY
- One guest may be permitted at artist discretion.
- Large groups are not allowed – unless you are all getting tattooed.
We maintain a calm, professional atmosphere.
7. SOBRIETY POLICY
Do not arrive under the influence of:
- Alcohol
- Illegal substances
- Recreational drugs
If a client appears intoxicated or impaired:
- Service will be refused
- Deposit will be forfeited
Your safety is our priority.
8. DESIGN & ARTWORK POLICY
- Major design changes must be requested prior to your appointment.
- Significant changes on the day of your appointment may require rescheduling.
- Custom artwork created by The Boujee Cheetah is property of the studio and may not be taken to another artist.
- Reference photos are welcome, but exact copies of another artist’s work will not be replicated.
9. PAYMENT POLICY
- Accepted payment methods: cash or card only.
- Remaining balance is due on the day of the appointment.
- No payment plans.
- Prices are subject to change based on size, placement, and design complexity.
10. HEALTH & MEDICAL DISCLOSURE
Clients must:
- Eat prior to their appointment.
- Stay hydrated.
- Inform the artist of any medical conditions, medications, pregnancy, skin conditions, or allergies.
We reserve the right to refuse service if a condition presents a safety risk.
We do not tattoo:
- Anyone who is pregnant.
- Anyone with open wounds, sunburn, or active skin infections near the tattoo area.
11. TOUCH-UP POLICY
- One complimentary touch-up within 1 year of the original appointment.
- Touch-ups must be scheduled within that time frame.
- After that period, standard rates apply.
- Touch-ups do not apply to areas that were not properly cared for during healing.
12. AFTERCARE RESPONSIBILITY
Aftercare instructions will be provided at the end of your appointment.
The Boujee Cheetah is not responsible for:
- Improper aftercare
- Infection due to negligence
- Fading caused by sun exposure
- Healing complications due to picking, scratching, or failure to follow instructions
13. RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE
The Boujee Cheetah reserves the right to refuse service to anyone for reasons including but not limited to:
- Disrespectful or aggressive behavior
- Harassment of staff
- Failure to follow studio policies
- Safety concerns
We maintain a respectful, professional environment at all times.
14. PHOTOGRAPHY & SOCIAL MEDIA
- We may photograph or record completed tattoos for promotional use.
- If you prefer not to be photographed, please inform your artist.
15. REFUND POLICY
All sales are final.
- Deposits are non-refundable.
- Completed tattoo work is non-refundable.
16. STUDIO CONDUCT
We expect all clients to:
- Treat staff with respect
- Maintain appropriate language and behavior
- Follow artist instructions during procedures
17. Numbing Cream Policy
In accordance with regulations in the state of Michigan, numbing creams and topical anesthetics are not permitted in our studio unless they have been prescribed by a licensed medical professional.
Policy Guidelines
- Clients may not apply numbing cream prior to their appointment
- Clients may not bring or use over-the-counter numbing products in the studio
- Any numbing product must be:
- Prescribed by a doctor
- Approved by your artist prior to the appointment
If Numbing Cream Is Used Without Approval
- The appointment will be refused or rescheduled
- The deposit will be forfeited
Why This Policy Exists
- Many over-the-counter numbing products are unregulated and are NOT FDA approved
- They can negatively affect skin texture and tattoo application
- They may increase the risk of skin damage or poor healing
- This policy ensures compliance with state safety standards and protects both client and artist
Important
Failure to follow this policy will result in refusal of service.
No exceptions.
